Privacy Policy

Effective: October 25, 2026

Fowler Web Design ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at fowlerwebdesign.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our consultation form, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Information We Collect

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when submitting a consultation request through our contact form. This may include:

Beyond the information you submit, our hosting provider may automatically capture standard server log data as part of normal operation. Our site can also use optional analytics, but only with your consent — see “Analytics” below.

Analytics (optional, with your consent)

This site includes optional support for Google Analytics 4. It is switched off unless the site owner has configured a measurement ID, and even then nothing is loaded from Google until you choose “Accept analytics” in the consent notice. If you decline, or if analytics has not been enabled, no analytics tracking runs.

When enabled and accepted, analytics measures page visits and interactions such as phone-link clicks, email-link clicks, clicks on package buttons, outbound clicks to a portfolio project, and successful contact-form submissions. It does not receive the contents of your form submission. Google may set cookies and process technical data such as your IP address in connection with this service, under Google's own terms and privacy policy. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization features. These measurements show how the site is used; they do not tell us who a visitor is or confirm a sale.

You can change your choice at any time with the “Analytics preferences” link in the footer of the home page (shown when analytics is enabled), or by clearing this site's data in your browser. If you accepted and later decline, the site tells Google's tag to deny analytics consent, stops sending further events, and removes Google Analytics cookies from your browser. This cannot erase data that was already sent while you had accepted. If you decline, the choice is remembered and Google's analytics tag is not loaded.

How We Use Your Information

The information you provide is used solely to:

We do not use your information for advertising purposes, and we do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing use.

Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to operate our website and process form submissions. These providers may have access to the information you submit as a technical necessity of delivering our site and receiving your inquiry. At the time of writing, our site is hosted on Netlify, which processes form submissions on our behalf. Inquiries are also stored in a private lead-management record hosted on Netlify, which only the site owner can sign in to view. If analytics is enabled and you accept it, Google acts as an additional provider for that purpose. These providers are obligated to handle your information only as necessary to provide their services.

Data Retention

We retain consultation inquiry information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and fulfill any resulting engagement. If you would like your information removed, please contact us directly at the email address below.

Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect the information you submit. Our website is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are handled by our hosting provider's secure infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
